Leadership and Learning Communities

I contribute to a positive and collaborative classroom environment by working closely with my mentor teacher, colleagues, and families to support student learning and well-being. Within the classroom, I actively communicate with my teacher partner to plan lessons, share observations, and reflect on instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of students. I also value open and respectful communication with parents and caregivers, recognizing their important role in supporting student success and fostering strong home-school connections.

Beyond the classroom, I demonstrate leadership by contributing to school-wide initiatives. I assisted in organizing and supporting a volleyball tournament, where I worked with students from multiple classrooms to help them train, practice skills, and develop teamwork and sportsmanship. This experience allowed me to support students outside of my own classroom community, promote inclusivity, and build positive relationships cross grade levels. it also strengthened my ability to collaborate with colleagues, manage group dynamics, and encourage student confidence and perseverance.

Goals for Leadership Growth

Moving forward, my goal is to continue developing my leadership skills by taking on more active roles in school-based initiatives and professional learning communities. I aim to deepen my collaboration with colleagues through shared planning, reflective discussions, and co-facilitating activities that support student engagement and well-being. Additionally, I plan to strengthen my communication with families by sharing learning goals, student progress, and strategies to support learning at home.
